Voting Information

1) Vote by mail (aka Absentee Ballot)

Request an absentee ballot and vote for Shirley when & where it's convenient for you. You can request an absentee ballot any time before 5:00 p.m. 6 days prior to an election (the Wednesday before the election) to allow enough time for mailing. Absentee ballots are expected to become available (voting by mail will begin) in late July.

There are several ways to request an absentee ballot:

1.Call 941.861.8618 and be prepared to give your name, address, date of birth and address where the absentee ballot should be mailed.
2.Send an e-mail request to absentee@sarasotavotes.com with the same information.
3.Print out the absentee ballot request form below and mail it to PO Box 4194, Sarasota FL 34230-4194 or fax the completed form to 941.861.8617.

2) Vote early.

Early voting begins Monday, Aug. 9 and concludes, Sunday, Aug. 22. The hours for early voting are:

3) Vote on Election Day, August 24. Polls open at 7 am and close at 7 pm. Please vote because every vote really DOES matter in this election. Follow this link to find the polling location where you can vote on election day.
